I know what you mean, its what you use if the bud is a little damp, helps smoothe the smoke, just looked on the iolite site and they dont seem to have them, might only come with the original package.

Where's the cheapest place to get them guys?
Is it that vapefiend website I read about on here before? Really looking into getting one when I get back off hols...
Will the Wispr or whatever it's called be more expensive that the original?

So what's the real difference in the buzz then?
Im fed up of smoking spliffs, fags/tobacco has never been my thing tbh, the only thing I'm worried about is that I won't get "couch locked" which is what I like after 8pm.
I've read that it gets u high as oppose to stoned... Don't get me wrong, theres fuck all wrong with being high, its just nice to switch it up!
Where'd u get yours from mate?
i got mine from a uk head shop "google it shiva" and i dunno i have been couch locked from my vapes but i not as lightweight now and low on weed so tend to only take few hits until i get next harvest :) cus im stingy like that haha)

I want one so damn bad. I'll have a look round... I need a 250w HPS kit aswell, dunno what to get first..
Do u find u smoke more weed per day since u got the vape?
i dont smoke anymore as i got asthma but i know from comparing pure spliffs to vaping i get higher quicker from the vape so i guess that means less weed....and most of all less money :D

Sorry I should of said "use" rather than "smoke"
But you've answered my question anyway.. I usually smoke just over a gram a day so hopefully i'll be able to cut that down if I get one.
you do get high from vapes but its trippy not monging out stuff, i dont know for sure but im suspecting certain elements in the weed are not released by vaping and so the high is different (i seem to remember there being other chemicals other than thc in weed that combine to get you both doped and high, vapes concentrate on thc only)
i grew up in the uk smoking bongs\joints\pipes n whatever, usually mixed with tobbaco so i have difficulty feeling satisfied from a vape.
ive owned a cheaper fullsize ebay one (which i dumped as the thermostat was more than a lil random and ended up with a few burnt bowls), and now i own an iolite, which is a wonderfull lil machine although i tend not to use it as much as i should (healthwise).
you might get better results using a decent fullsized vape with adjustable heat as there is no adjustment on the iolite, although i did do the mandatory "is this working" test when i first started using a vape and smoked some of the vape leftovers to test for buzz, mongy or otherwise...there was none >< so i dunno where that mongy buzz hides but it is hard to recover.
im also looking into the filters, i find the smoke way too hot and scalding using the default parts on the iolite, so i use a 1-2ft tube attached.
i also started looking at the moisture filter, which obviously works as the moisture from the hot air condenses on the colder metal as it passes through, the problem there is there is no moisture collection area, so the moisture re-evaporates leaving you smoking damper and damper air, which when heated scalds the tounge and upper throat.
which led me to these things which i have still to order...HMEF..heat and moisture filters.

these are medical grade devices meant to be used on ventilation systems for patients, they are small devices which fit directly onto silicone hose and remove or balance any moisture going through them to a natural level and also remove heat a lil.
they come in disposable ($4) and re-usable forms ($20), i hope to test sometime soon and post some results.
there are also inline moisture\particle filters for industrial air pump systems but most are brass and i hate the taste of metal in my smoke, they also are sealed units operating similarly to the iolite so will suffer the same issues.

the medical ones are all plastic with an inbuilt collection area so should avoid any such issue.
then theres diy, shouldnt be too hard to find some small brass parts to pass the smoke through while building in a collection area for the moisture, but i still think that inferior to the medical ones.
as a super cheap replacement you could use a few brass nuts or screws in the pipe, anything thick enough to hold its temperature lower than the vapor and that forces the vapor to pass over its surface , just heat them up very high and wash them off prior to using them to remove any nasties.

The guys at iolite are pretty helpful, i mangled the gauze part trying to get it out and e-mailed them cursing how poor the metal was and they apologized and sent me out a whole bunch of extra parts. Maybe you could drop them a message and see what they can do

Yo man if you haven't solved this I think I have an extra in the box from when I got mine years ago and now sold. I'll send it to you for free I know the exact piece, I never used it, I didn't like them.
