Could I use a pestel and mortar to grind bonemeal to a fine powder, helping it to break down in the soil quickly?

How soluble is it in water as I would like to create a liquid feed rather than dig it into the soil in a new pot?

dissolve a table spoon full in a cup of hot water then add that to a 2 litres of cold water an you will be able to pour that straight into the soil. Be warned that it stinks like hell though.

Ditto above, grind it up and into water.

I'd be tempted to knock up a buckets worth and soak for a week stirring it a bit now and again but it depends on how often you're going to be using it.

PS Blood, Fish and Bone stinks even worse LOL

It should say on the box what the dissolved percentages are but treat it with caution as you don't want it too hot. Its a different matter when it's released over a couple of months in the soil though.
