BREEDING Problem

Well im in the process of trying to collect pollen from a Trifle male (3 weeks 12/12) im now on my 2nd chopped off branch then into a cup method waiting for it to release but it aint. Theres open sacks but no pollen anyone got any ideas reckon it could be just immature?

More than likely mate, or maybe not enough in that particular flower. Have the sacks actually opened up into the flower yet mate?
I can't say as I've heard of/used the 'into the cup' method. I just leave my males intact and up the corner or a dimply lit room/shed with no proper light and nip out each day with a little sealy-bag and tap off any pollen into that.
If there is no draft in the room where the males are stored you can usually just collect the pollen off the leaves below the flowers. :)

The sacks have split revealing the bananas fair few of them too. its in with my fems no browning pistils and no pollen on leaves

ive tapped, popped, slit them but nothing but a cloudy looking liquid.......annoying me!

I reckon you need to give it a few more days for the banana's to open into flowers.

Yes mate, got a few days more yet at least... the banana's will open up into proper flowers with petals... the pollen is released when they open. :)

If the sacks are opened Marley then the spunk has been spread to the wind :(
They will swell a little and get light stripes when they are ready to pop, once you see it opened into the flower shape then it's dropped. Keep at it.

In this pic you can see the ones with stripes ready to pop, the smaller green and purple ones aren't mature enough yet, the popped ones have already dropped off. Does your branch look like this? or are the sacs a bit smaller/greener?

It some times takes two weeks or for the pollen to really fall, a few first can be very sparse with the pollen, as grub said give it some time. How long have the girls been on 12/12?? even at 8 to 10 weeks you will get seeds, just better to pollinate 3 to 6 weeks I kind of like 4 to 6 weeks pollinating the girls but I pollinate the girls for two weeks not just one time.. Good luck with the seeds!! oh seeds can be ready 4 to well 10 weeks latter. Some girls are just slower then others.. lol

Finally my male as dropped some pollen was put in a room away from the fems a day later pollen on the leaves, not that easy to collect.

I used a cotton bud to get what i could then rubbed on the bud of trifle fem. Would it be ok to brush up what i can with cotton buds then wrap then freeze for storage??

The cotton buds might hold onto more than they release so it may be a bugger to get much, just pick of a ripe ball and gently squash it down. He'll shoot it out if it's ready in a nice pile dude :)
