On paper, no.

The TD SILENT 350 runs at 20 db, and the KSA-100 (2E) runs at 36 db. An increase of 10 db is generally perceived as being twice as loud.

The testing methods used may not be directly comparable, but both were measured at a distance of 3 m.

I see the 1st fan on ebay some time ago,Funny no mention of just how quite they are,So when i emailed and asked how quite they was,He didn't know? May well know now,But still it does not say ! the TD-SILENT up to 12dB(A) quieter than major competitors.Looks good, and sounds OK but they are pricey,I wonder if you might be better getting a ruck(reliability) and just add a silencer,Might be cheaper,Problem with this could be space,But i do like the look of the TD-SILENT

currently running a 4" ruck but i reckon its to loud I read it had a test rating of 74db! I dont think its that bad with ac ducting but def could be better, can you buy the silent boxes aftermarket for these style of fans?

Probably going to up it to a td 6" anyhow.

Thats what i thought, i've got the 220m/h3 version in a 1.5x 1.5 x 2.0 tent with an inlet pushing in 85m3/hr (temps higher than i would like) 2 x 400w maxibright digis

if i went to a 500m3 6 inch td silent and used the 220 as an intake would this be too much negative pressure for the tent to cope with? Just a thought after reading the thread about the guy who had his tent colapse?

my 395m3/h is in a 1.2m2 tent with passive intake, no probs with tent, will take alot to collapse a tent mate
