12/12 Comp! for POGK seeds

Got the Ok from Grubs, for this!

Ok everyone that has, or thought about doing 12/12 growing, I have comp for you! If all goes well in about two weeks there should be some White widow X vortex seeds in UK. How many seeds you will get will depends on how many can do 12/12 diary strait away.

part of things you will need to do!
Grow only 12/12 starting very soon and have to start a diary from day one the seedlings are up!
As not everyone can crack all the seeds at once everyone, will be given two months to get a find a girl. Then about two months to flower her out! ( I will set a dead line after the seeds are in UK. )

What I am not sure about, should it be a Diary or photo contest?

My WW X vortex went and aborted the seeds from from the cold freezing temps from what I can tell, so I had almost 50 beans from last year so there's very few beans. They are Regular beans so that's why who ever does try to grow them will have two months to get a girl as not every one can grow a few seedlings at one time but remember 4/5" pots don't take up much space tell they show there sex, even if all you get is a boy a Diary might win if it's a great diary or photo!! :)

I would love to mate but i aint gonna have any room for a few months until the Mt.Shasta & Trifle are done.. (sobs)

I think it should be a diary contest so that you can see how they do grow out especially if everyone grows them there own ways but all on 12/12 with a minimum amount of updates per week..

Why not use the growout section and have everyone who won some put there diary's in a sub-section called something like "Hillbilly's POGK 12/12" so they are all in one place then once they are all complete create a poll for the winner of the best diary.?

If you go the diary route mate then you will still get the pics & a diary then when they are finished the grower gets a nice smoke and a possible POTM entry if they done anygood..

All the best to all who do get some.. Maybe next time for me although i would love to do some purp's seeing them pics again..

A dirary is the best way to do it in my opinion and some kind of standard pop size to make it fair for everybody might be an idea mate

Mate, as you're new here your scepticism is understandable. Many people on the forum have been lucky enough to grow out a few of Hillbilly's seeds and you won't read one complaint anywhere.
Growouts, test grows or new-strain competitions are a regular occurrence on the forum as you'll see if you stick around. :)

Rather than question the strains/genetics, you should think yourself very lucky if you are considered for some of Hillbilly's seeds.... his strains are not available to buy anywhere in the U.K.

There's loads of diaries/pictures on the forum of Hillbilly's strains... have a mooch.

Cool comp hb, I've just popped five reg bubblegums two days ago. Would they count if I started a diary today? Doesn't matter if not cos I'm planning on popping a couple more (fems) of something in mid Feb when I know the sex of the bubblegums. The POGK genetics is Purple Urkel X SFV O.G.Kush SFV and O.G. where out of the same seed batch but different people got the seeds and the SFV was picked by the breeder as it was more to the Sativa Dom side then the other O.G. that most people know of. As there is very few seeds from last year, only 10 to max if 16 people will get seeds less people the more seeds will get to grow. if your in the USA and 100% you want to grow them out PM me so I save them seeds back so that don't have to fly all over the world lol..

I hope to make it a fun Comp. that everyone has a chance to win that grows the WW x V seeds

Lovely offer there Hillbilly. I would love to give it a go but I would want to veg for at least a week before I stick them in to 12/12. I don't know why but I have never got a seed to grow when on 12/12 unless the plant has had a couple of weeks veg to get established. Shame as timing could be spot on for me as I'm guessing around another 4 or 5 weeks and the tent will be empty.

Keep your eye out as I will be setting my comp up very shortly if your interested.

no worries hilly, 3 or 4 beans sounds fine, i can stick them straight into the flower tent once they pop so its all good, havnt done a 12/12 grow for awhile, will make a change from the norm :)

just chopped down one of your strawberry cough x lav that i grew on 12/12 from seed and i must say it looks/smells amazing I'm already drooling in anticipation of smoking it thank you very much for those seeds, I would definitely be up for a bit of competition, got an empty 10l hempy or a 6l airpot with coco maybe i could try both and do a side by side comparison(until they show sex at least).

No pot size or way to grow them just has to be 12/12 and a diary from day one, just a little way to make it as even as I could!

I have been thinking maybe it should be for people that hasn't gotten any of the Hillybilly/grub seeds before to give others a shot what do you think?

Ok everyone the seeds are in UK. I wish I had more of the WWxV seeds as I had more request then seeds. I went with a first come first serve that didn't get seeds from me before that said they can do 12/12 right away, so here's the 16 people. If I counted the seeds right, everyone will get 3 seeds for a chance of a girl. (420 boss Has beans already ) "diablo all seeds where crushed by post last time" goodbuddy, baza123, Bobby Digital, gr33nfingers, lil rasta, TIKTOK, urban grower, dopefiend1, BIGCH33S3, Talpa, Greeneyedcat, toooldforthis2, LBN, Dave. I am sorry that I couldn't give more seeds this time but will have more crossed seeds soon. If you already got seeds from me or something came up pleas let me know ASAP so the seeds can go to someone else.

Rules:
#1 Must be 12/12 from the start: Grown any way you see fit, ie pot size, soil or hydro
#2 must do a diary from the first day (or ASAP ) it's above the medium!
#3 you have till April 17 to get a sexed plant in flower! ( hopefully a girl ) ( My B-day ) :)
#4 you will have till June 30 for the entry photo. ( if all entries have there final photo before that date a poll will start earlier )
#5 Photo Poll will start no latter then July 1st.
#6 1 picture of the plant is allowed to be entered. If you only get a males enter one if you want :)
#7 All pictures entered must have a sign of some sort with THCtalk.com and WWx V comp wrote on it in the picture or your entry will be removed from the comp.
#8 Photoshop is allowed to make a sign, but the photo may not be altered in any way other then to re-size it.
#9 Please keep all pictures to 600 x 450 pixels max and no thumbnails please. (failing this your entry will be removed from the comp).
#10 If there is tie for 1st place the prize winner will be picked by me. ( Maybe 3 seeds to each member of the tie! )
#11 Members may use there one vote to vote for themselves if they wish.
#12 As an added prize the Diary I pick will get 3 POGK Fem seeds. :)

Never done a 12/12fs grow before, but if I can get a dozen test pilots defying gravity it only seems fair that I should put my own neck on the line and see if I get swallowed up or not by this particular vortex :smokie:

My lil sprout is shooting up nicely,a bit stretched but as soon as roots form i will bury it right to the 1st set of leaves.The seed took quite a while to germ so be patient.I was ready to give up after 3 or 4 days but i waited and 2 days later it had a lovely tap root. Then while it was in the peat pellet it shot up like 2 inches in a night.I hope it keeps up the vigorous growth.Good Luck to all especially Me! LOL

Mine arrived on Saturday, which happened to be my day off, so someone just stuck them on top of my fitting and forgot to tell me. I only found them today, but one is already snuggled up in damp tissue. How is everyone else going to go about it? Mine will be in coco, which is still quite new to me, so it may not be as smooth as some others /:)

Thats the way the forum set up rocks :)

Create albums in your profile and upload your pics to them. Then the http links below each picture you use as image links in your posts...shimples :joint:

It's best to keep them to a reasonable size, ie: 500k. You can use ms-paint or similar to resize/compress them. I just save as a jpeg with a bit of compression to get them to a manageable size :)

Heres what I do Urban Grower.
Copy photos from camera to pc. Resize them (I use 'PIXresizer'..free download.)
Then, I open two THCtalk windows, on one I go to the gallery, top right, 'upload photos', find your photos on the pc, and upload, then process them, and then youll have a little row of thumbnails, and one big photo below. Below that there are 3 boxes, the 3rd box, copy the [img) info. In the other window, go to the thread you want to post your photo in, and paste your img details in the 'Quick reply' box.

still having trouble with uploading pictures when your in the gallery looking at your picture's whatever one you click on will be showen under and bigger than the rest so scrol down untill you see the 2 or 3 URL address (the letters in the boxs) then click on the last one it should turn blue then hold down CTRL and C then go to the thread you want to put the pic in and hold down CTRL and V it should be it. u can see if it worked by pressing Prevew Post butten. you should

I don't have mine yet either Hillbilly. :( When it (one seed? several? I dont even know whats coming LOL) shows up at my safe addy, I can get cracking. I've even devised a way of having small plants in my tent with larger ones :D
I really wanna participate, so don't shut the deadline yet!

I do think the dead line will be pushed back!! (A lot) To many people haven't got the seeds yet. Everyone will get three seeds, I know not enough but at lest it's something, and mostly just for the fun of it and a few POGK seeds :) Reason I decided on a 12/12 comp is to make it as even as I could. Just have fun with them and do your best that's all that matters!!!

Ok, I'm starting to get annoyed with the bloody post service... I've had a couple of PM's from guys who's seeds (WW x Vortex) still haven't arrived even though they were posted a week or so ago.
It seems that it's the 'international post' packages that are missing which I paid extra for, whereas the ones that I just stuck a stamp on have arrived safe and sound in the U.K.

All I can do is apologise to the guys abroad and hope that they turn up safe and sound soon. :(

thats why when i sent u my safe address i asked could i pay for my post because i realy dont think you or Hillbilly or any other member that nice enough to give seeds away should have to pay post aswell.
i think it would be a good idea if there was a part in the THC.Talk shop or some PayPal acount so people that wanted to could pay for there post.

I'm starting to get a bit gutted over the seeds not showing up. Not what I had hoped for but life never is lol as they say "keep an upper lip" and I am sure it will sort out in the end. Finally, at day 41 from germing, I can confirm that my last remaining WWxV seedling is a girl.
God thats taken forever!. Shes had a bit of a rough time, but I finally repotted her last night, and she looks good to go.
Bit tortuous though...all kinds of weird bends in her :)
