I was thinking of something to do with an hour spare and I remembered in the basement was this:

An old fire guard that's never going to be used again. It's metal but with a PVC coating.
After giving it a quick measure it was 81x68cm - my tent is 80x80cm....I have a plan...a homemade scrog screen.
The holes in the guard were 1"x2" so the first step was to chop out the unwanted in between wires.
My initial thought was to use a hacksaw, but after doing like three I realised this was hard as fuck and would take hours..snips..used a pair of snips and cut out the wires.

But doing it with snips left little (very) sharp stubs which had to be removed individually.

Did that and was left with this:

One home made scrog screen with 2" square holes that's a perfect fit for my tent and cost me a tenner five years ago when I needed it for our open fires.
I'm happy :)
