hey all.
i want to set up a grow. and am looking at the most efficient ways to keep me in bud.

came up with the SCROG method qwite quickly.
but expanded to include a "bucket" SCROG.

instead of a straight screen i'd opt for a bucket shaped screen. a nice bowl that i can wrap the mainstem around and have a 360 cover of canopy around the full field of the bulb.

sounds promising to me. oh and i heard about using a reservoir and a length of cloth to keep plants watered too.
one end of the cloth is threaded into the soil and one end sits in a bowl of water.
heard about it, but haven't tried it. not sure if it would take nutes through the cloth. that would be intresting.

A cloth watering a plant won't work..The cloth will dry up under the HID.. Your plant would need a decent drink

good point. but i may be going with the lowest watt Hids or a large CFL.
i think the cloth can be exchanged for a piece of pipe. maybe even a piece of cloth threaded through a pipe.
it's just to keep the soil damp really.

you would be better off with a drip system. Plants like to get watered properly and they tend to like a wet/dry period but give it a go..you have nothing to lose what you said..

is it a good idea to let the soil dry completely? occasionally of course.
