Do weed plants give off chemicals ?

There's a guy coming into our hydro shop today to tell us about these new gadgets that you can put up in your grow room that's clears out the chemicals that plants give off , they are like uv lights in a metal tube BUT they arnt the uvanair things , apparently plants give off chemicals that are poisonous to them selves and this gadget wipes out the chemicals and produces either. c02 or oxygen .

Ill know more later but I don't want this guy tryin to blagg us

its news to me, surely extraction will remove it anyway if they do?

It might be at lights of then mate , these gadgets are meant to remove somet that's bad for the plants and replace it with somet that's good for the plants to make them flourish , they're really for public toilets and stuff to put fresh air in so u don't get damp smelly whiffs etc when u go for a slash I think :)
