Hi after setting up my 1st grow tent (with a little help from this forum).my next task was to find with method I was grow with ,after searching Internet for different methods and a chat with fellow member s I have decided I am gonna go down the coco run to waste method, so today I went to local shop with a list of what I should buy coco, nuits etc, after speaking to shop owner he reccomended 14l rhizo pots? Not knowing my arse from my elbow I bought these pots, also he said I didn't need to run off? Which I thought was the whole idea I am a bit confused now need help cheers
I'm on my 1st coco grow also. I'm using 12l rhizopots. Everything I've read says to run to waste and that's what I'm doing. Apart from 1 out of 12 plants showing slight nute burn my grow room has never looked so good.
So, I'd say yes, do run to waste. The guy in your local shop is probably used to growing tomatoes :)
Jimmi420 runs to waste and he has some good outputs.

Idea behind run to waste and looking for around a 20% run off each feed is it gets rid of old food salts that iff left over time will build and burn the plant it also pulls in new oxygen to the roots and pushes out the stale crap . Run to waste is a really simple easy method to do and hard to get wrong useing coco, as its very forgiving medium of mistakes. Just bung the rhizo pot in a bucket or tray with a tap on and lift it of the ground a bit, stick a bucket under the tap, bingo run to waste system sorted
Haha knew the master would be around!!
