that's a lot of height for a 250w. IMO move the shelf to the bottom and have a foot or two of space for crap or a small veg cab. Hang the filter where the shelf is now.

What difference would it make if the space is at the top or bottom mate?

Not really, it will just make hanging the filter easier, unless you hang it off the shelf and lower the bar the light is on. It's just more ducting etc. It might be easier to move the shelf than trying to cut circular holes in it. My main point is how far a 250w will penetrate into the canopy so you have a couple of feet of height to play with.

Well I was thinking of just cutting a circle hole in the side, and connect the filter directly to the fan. Then a tiny length of duct straight to the side wall where I have a circle vent thing.

Right, I've just found out that there isn't enough room for the filter in the wardrobe. The first 2 photos show how much space it takes.

I've decided thatit may be a good idea to mount the filter and fan inside the top compartment, and drill a loads of holes through the shelf itself in order for the air to get through.
How does that sound? The last 2 photos show it inside the top compartment.

Can you not just take out the shelf.

I thought about it...but as you can see in picture 2, there are 2 little clips which the doors clip into on the bottom of the shelf. Also, the doors are only that high, so I'd have to find some way of blocking the light, as there would be a gap between the tops of the doors and the bottom of the top cupboard door.

Need to find a way without removing the shelf ideally.

    Hello jackman.
How high is the wardrobe? Reason i ask is im thinking could u not get away with hanging the fan n filter on the bar. Then just hang the light below fan n filter? It would reduce how high u could raise light though.

Good luck with it all m8.

It's not that high. I'm trying to save as much height as possible. That's why I want to put the filter in the top compartment...

Would it be ok just to cut some 4inch holes in the shelf?

As you can see, I need to put her onto flower rather sharpish. There's not much room left for the flowering stage So I can't fit the filter in there.
