    Red face Overfeeding organic nutes

I'm using mostly the bio-bizz line but feeding almost double the recommended nutes. The plants are doin amazing and not burming but I was worried I may be wasting my nutes? I feed every 3 days flush every 2 weeks. Just looking for some opinions on if I could be saving nutes by using less each water. Or since the plants are doing so well keep juicing them up.

I feel that something is up if you are feeding at 2x and not getting burn. Why flush with organic?

I use a pretty full synthetic AND organic nutrient mix, feed less than 5% runoff and don't flush. No salt lock out. I few professional growers I know let me in on this and I've never gone back. If you have the proper EC then you don't need runoff or flush until end of flower. Especially when you use enzymes. The plant will eat the nutrients by the next time it's ready for water. The runoff should theoretically have a low EC (by runoff I mean water content in the medium before you add an higher EC and mix it. When you check runoff EC it's pretty much useless in terms of telling what the EC of the medium is)

It seems you could back off the ec and not flush...Organic nutrients take more time to break down than synthetic so you're more or less just flushing out the non broken down nutrients that haven't been used yet.

More likely than not you are in fact flushing non metabolized nutrients.

But organics shouldn't have to be flushed, but that said, organic hydro is a lot less stable it seems than a synthetic based organic mix. Which is why I lean synthetic on my coco mix, it's about 85% synthetic, 15% organic.

Of course you can keep doing what you're doing but you're over spending on nutes.

looks like the guys above is a hydro grower speaking about ec in an organic grow.

I use bio bizz and ive found now that ive stopped measuring ml of feed for each litter and just poured it in. (and intern started adding loads more feed) and my plants have been loving it. i feed every water with molases ever other water and a just water and mmolases once every few weeks. and for the last week or two of flower i give them just water and molases. works wonders!

Aren't the biobizz products molasses based? I add molasses when Im not nuting but I don't know if its necessary while nuting? I plan on staying fully organic so ec shouldn't be an issue but ig now the question is, is a flush necessary? I'm growin in 5-7 gal pots of bio bizz light mix

A flush isn't necessary. Though I do the final week plain water. I use bio bizz too. I go upto 6ml per 1 litre of bloom at the end LOL and you are right, they do love it! :-) Simply you will be able to taste nutes. If there is planty of bud on there, then 2 last feeds on plain water for the outdoor weed taste IMO :-)

Molasses is good, meridans organic molasses for me.

Can they even overdose in organics, 2ml grow 6ml bloom feeds you'd think so. I'm not so sure as they feed off the soil, so just take what they want... :-)

Thinking ill quit the flush based off responses..still I feel it should have a moment to "empty its stomach" but that may just be sythetics. Thanks for all the help guys ima keep boosting em up prolly..my feedings have recently came closer to the charts recommendations but I've also swithed my medium to their light mix and added top max and algae-mic to the equation. By the end of flower I will prolly take 2 of my 3 blueberry x dairy queen plants and give them extra nutes while I run the bio bizz schedule on the third.

I think even just a bit of plain water helps them use up the nutes. Not a flush as such, but taste is much better after 2 water feeds than 1 or none. 2 is definitely enough.
