Default NEW Dutch Passion Desfran (photoperiod)

Very excited about this unreleased Sativa as it uses legendary genetics, its parentage comes from Destroyer which is a cross of Meao Thai,I've read it boasts heavy resin production and a strong aroma.
I plan to grow 2 plants in 15L Airpots with a diet of Advanced Nutrients, they will be vegged for 30-40 days with multiple toppings under 240w of GN Rebel LEDs then flowered in my other room under 360w.

5 have gone into soak today.

    Day 1.

All 5 seeds developed tails some as fast as 24 hours and 4 were placed into root riot cubes,I then placed 2 cubes in each pot just to double my germination chances, all 4 germinated 1 with 3 first leaves.....I will chose the 2 I go with in a couple of days.

looking very nice I like the ones with 3 leaves, you don't get to see them too often, in theory(!) your 3 leaf plant should produce more bud - theory doesn't always equate to reality though

    Day 15.

Not the happiest plants I've had at this stage but there growing well, the room is warmer than they like due to the weather and it's also very windy in there because I have another plant in late flower and I'm trying to prevent rot, they will have there own room soon so I'm not worried. The odd plant really likes the spotlight and now has a huge side branch and looks like it wants to compete with the main stem on that note I will be topping them both in the next few days.

    Day 20.

The first notable traits of this strain are they stretch early I mean there both 45cm already and that's after a topping,I wouldn't be surprised if they autoflowered at this rate {>_<} the second thing is hooky leaf tips,I thought I had problems at first so PH checks were done to no avail so I put it down to wind from the fan but then I noticed the exact same thing on one of the other Desfran grows so don't panic if you see it.
For the sake of confusion I will number them, #2 is the plant that threw three sets and has the crazy side branch

    Day 25.

Some seriously impressive genetics here huge fans leaves and incredibly fast growth,so fast in fact I've been forced to flip to 12/12 early I had planned around day 40 when my other room will be free but they will have to do there stretching now else they will just get to big....there standing at 68cm today and being a pure Sativa they could treble in size so we could have two 6ft plants in 20 days. They have done all there growth so far under 120w LED (GN MS0004 standard modules) and will have 3 or 4 times the power for bloom as soon as the other room is free

    Day 30.

I was looking at the plants yesterday and decided they would benefit from some Super Cropping so this morning after the watering I pinched and bent the branches I wanted to manipulate into place. They are both kicking out a spicy and musky smell now very strong for plants without flowers....talking of flowers I've just started to see pistils emerging on #2.

    Day 40/15.

Did a little more super cropping a few days ago to control the heigh and they now stand at 140cm from the ground, they are both throwing out lots of pistils now so vertical growth should start to slow down. I do have a growing concern over the thick side branch on #2 as it's started to split and the top of the stem is growing at a right angle,I'm very temped to cut it off....would you?

Quick update....I've have removed the thick branch and taped off at the cut I wouldn't usually do this but it was a big cut,I've also anchored the plants to the room with garden twine to keep them in place.

    Day 50/25.

I'm having to get inventive with this pair now the lights are as high as they will go so I'm training them under some twine to get a few extra inches. Starting to get hints of the aroma now I'm getting mint and lime but that could all change. I'm now photographing them together.

    Day 55/30.

These two now stand at an impressive 180cm from the ground and the smell is amazing its very tropical. I got a little scissor happy and took a few of the lower branches off but that should benefit the yield.
