Very handy...tells me the kettle has boiled

Have very good grounds to get it removed (even though I don't have it) but can't be arsed...

I'll let you all know if the door goes in
Is it one of the old ones AND?..I know the old smart meters only worked with one company that you were with at the time and had it installed for you, which is why I was giving manual readings for months when I switched suppliers (so I might as well have had no smart meter). I now have one of the new smart meters installed and it works with all of the suppliers.

You're right there Sad, if they really wanted to know they can see..no need for a smart meter to check that..and well said to guy on the phone, none of anyone's concern as long as we pay our bills.

I pay around £100 a month on leccy and gas without growing..I know it's gonna sky rocket when I start my grows.

I think the only problem with smart meters is they could start charging for apparent power instead of real power. Probably not going to happen though.

I just dont like the idea of them,(for most of the reasons listed above and beyond.) and forgive my lack of patriotism, if you have the government saying something is a good thing, it usually turns out to only benefit them and balls to the rest of us. Fuck'em, i'll keep to my leccy key till they make it law............which they will.
