    Default Stung by Mary Jane

Just about every time I get close to my plants I seem to get stung from them just like a nettle, although it does not leave the White bumps as such it itches in the same way.

Has/does this happen to anyone else?

Cannabis is closely related to the nettle family & what you are experiencing is more common than you would think. May be best to try wearing gloves to handle them whilst they are growing

Yeah I had read they were very closely related, the sting doesn't leave any marks whatsoever it just feels like a nettle sting it lasts only a fraction of the time a nettle sting would...... I'm glad to hear it's not just me......... I'm sensitive lol

To be fair I originally bought them due to the fact that they are quite hardy and very good at self sewing back into the area and the flowers look great and are very low maintenance, if I did grow them it would be in the front garden and I couldn't extract even if that was my intent..... And of course it is not "what are you doing with those poppy heads there mate?" "errrrr I'm just errr, I was errrrr, aye".

The moral of the story is that is no danger of these seeds (even if they do get planted) being cultivated for anything other than the visual esthetic and ease of maintainance in my very much overlooked front garden.

And with my piss poor constitution I couldn't even begin to entertain the though of drinking them in a tea..... You should have seen me when I ate some toast with canna butter on it...... Let's just say it didn't stay down for long!
