the canal were a network built to transport good between n/w eng and the midlands, origially a tow path ran alongside the canal horses pulled the barges along.

We have thousands of Canadian geese thousands they breed here like rats 😃 but I thought them in the picture was ducks 😃
But they are geese 😃yeah a canal that runs through and connects a few big cities. Great for fishing some big pike great for the canoe or just walking down with the dog and kids . Great cycle path as well .

It was said there are more Canada geese in Canada then actual Canadians lol I rekon last estimate was 43 million geese and 36 million people 😂😂

the manchester ship canal, river weaver and the bridgewater canal all ran through the town i grew up in, i am on a bank of the river mersey also, spent half my youth in or around them all.

I grew up with the Leeds Liverpool canal very near by which is the one in the picture and also very close to the ship canal 😃
