The solo is just run on a built in battery and can be used while charging also.
It is a very efficient little device and from a full charge I've never ran out of battery life yet while out and about.
I've never had any problem with combustion like I occasionally had with the launch box it just doesn't happen at all even when vaping at the highest setting!
I found there was a pretty steep learning curve with the launch box but the the solo is just an easy to use, heavy hitting portable vape. No learning curve to it whatsoever you just load it up switch it on wait for it to heat up to whatever your preferred setting is and blast away!
The only vaporizer I've ever tried that bettered it was some sort of glass bong vaporizer that the cannabis college in Amsterdam let me try and I'm sure that thing was at least 5 times the price!
I would honestly prefer my solo to the volcano as I'm not a big fan of the balloons that have to be used with them.
There's also virtually no cleaning with it as weed is never actually in contact with the vaporizer itself but loaded into the glass stem instead and when it gets a bit grubby you can either give it a quick wash with iso alcohol or do what I do and scrape the oil out and blaze it
