Na man, I found an injured tumbler pigeon and nursed it back to health on the basis of good karma and all that. It's been knocking around for 3 months used to come on the patio for food and water...He almost got away but the bastard hawk was too fast for him...I had to endure his demise on my cctv Why couldn't the bastard hawk have one of dozens of wood pigeons that are currently raiding my grape vines

    Regards BL

Clean kill with peregrines most of the time, they hit the prey mid air with such speed that impact often kills them...Only female sparrowhawks take pigeons, sparrowhawks pin pigeons down and eat them alive its brutal to watch

I've always admired sparrowhawks and watched many of them flying rats getting eaten alive.
You'll have to befriend the hawk now and train her to keep the wood pigeons away from your vines
