And yet they bust people all the time.

I think this law will catch growers by accident - e.g. if you're under suspicion for something else and they see you on growing forums that might get them a warrant to search. Just as a lot of the "grower gets caught" stories from the press seem to be the police going to a house for a different reason and seeing/smelling.

The other part is if you're growing and they catch you anyway they might search your ISP and depending on what is found the prosecution might argue you're not a naive hobbyist but part of "a sophisticated growing conspiracy".

This is my issue with it they will have all they need to prove you have been at it for a while... Better to take precautions than regret it late on tbf

I'm also starting to build a veg box for my babies, pop in have a look and let me know what you think

I'd be more concerned if Herbies were hacked.

I am already known to the Police, so they could pay a visit at any time anyway. They are more interested in kiddie fiddlers, terrorists, illegals etc.

I think Ill invest my money in tin foil hats. I think I'll have a roaring trade.

Herbies don't store any records/data, each order is fresh, thats what they say and i trust them 100%. Transactions appear as hocus pocus on your bank statement....

The police are always interested in the 'easy way' of doing things & if they can access the data from your ISP then they can sit eating donuts whilst their computer trawls through the info flagging anything suspicious

I used them as an example. But there is nothing to say that info cannot be intercepted.

Getting back to the original point, I am still not bothered. If they've caught me, then they'll see the tent and weed. What's on my PC isn't going to do much harm. And there's plenty of granny porn on there to keep them entertained for weeks.
