Great choice of strain mate, Lemon stinky is my fav Crazy X strain. You will love watching them grow and she has a beautiful taste/smell to her.

She loves to be topped, a week after they have been topped you watch them take right off.

Good luck with your grow mate and if you want to know anything then please don't be afraid to ask.

That would be great if you do keep us posted and best of luck sorting a light. Greens Horticulture sell some great lights at cheap prices.

Strains/Plants that send out side shoots more reluctantly and stay narrow producing a large central cola with few side shoots respond less well yield wise to topping than strains/plants that have rapid side shoot development and more bushy structure it seems to me. Anyone else found this?

Toppping or trimming is traumatic to the plant, it slows it for a few days and I think it's a misconception that you are 'creating' new grow tips. Those grow tips are just the normal offshoots that you get at nodes. You can get the same result by bending the top of the plants over, which doesn't stress it half as much. The highest point in the plant always becomes the main grow tip so you just need to rearrange the hieght of things on your plant

If a FIM is done correctly then you'll get shoots that wouldn't have been there otherwise but yeah its just growth hormones being redirected to the next node down so they become the top of the plant. The example of a fim in the first post is just a normal topping.

It does keep height down n u get 2 stems n 2 colas instead o one, not sure u get more as u only get whatever per amount of light anyways.
