Absolutely.... Most fisherman just chuck em on shore and leave them. Now we have Asian jumping carp taking over our waters and they don't care how u kill those. Well any carp.... No limit and no real restriction on how u kill them. Do u eat them?

No mate nor cat fish , I can only imagin them tasting like shitty mud , they don't go for carp in France anymore but other eastern countries find them a delicacy and have a fat carp on thanks giving or other special day

Woah, were was I when this thread was kicking off. I love a bit of fishing me.
Mainly Carp, Pike and Cats of course if the opportunity presents itself. Have gone after a few cats but never had one.
A reservior not too far from me boasts of having an 80 - 100 lb one in there. I've never seen it but one jear my mate had one hell of a run on that lake and something stonking on the end but it snapped him off.
As it was playing him and tiring him out, he said it felt like a whale and he couldn't budge it. Every time he'd try and wind in, it would stick firm and not move and then suddenly it would take off.
He had no bullying power on whatever it was and then Twang.. Gone. Think he was on 20lb main line and about 10 - 12lb leader. No chance haha.

Hoping to get a few hours on the bank next week as it happens. Dead baiting for pike with the same mate mentione above. Not been in to the Piking too long as it goes. Had a couple of sessions on the bank fishing for pike but no biggies.
    Mainly jacks.

I didn't get any fishing done last year at all. The Mrs got me a fishing licence for my Birthday and it never got used. Just didn't get the time. A stark contrast to the year before when I was never away from one of my favorite quarries targeting the carpy carpies
They're my favorite. I love fishing for carp. My PB weight so far for carp is 19lb but that was about 3 years back. Where I was fishing it just went mad. I was on the Robbin Red baits and at about 3pm the fish went crazy.
I was fishing two rods and as soon as I'd landed one, rebaited my hook and cast out than the other rod would go screaming off Great day. Can't beat the sound of bait runners screaming away on a warm day by a nice lake. Spliff, beer. Heaven man.

Wish I owned a lake. I'd never ever be at home. I'd live in my bivvie full time hahaha
