    Default Horizontal growing

How dependent are plants vertical gravity? If a plant in its pot is put on its side with the light also on its side would the plant grow healthy sideways? This would allow a much larger range of grow spaces to be utilized. I've heard roots are gravitropic but that wouldn't really affect the plant would it?....thoughts please

I remember I couple years ago there was a craze with tomato planters that where hung upside down and the plant would grow towards the ground. I don't recall the advantage of doing so. Soace saver? Just Googled it. Only advantage is saves space, no staking require and apparently fools some pests.

Hmm yea cus if you could grow horizontally then growing between rafters would be much easier. Instead of having ones in the middle they could grow inwards

This is a form of like a sgrogg. You can top a plant at 4th node train the 2 main armed one left under a net one right the shoots will them grim up towards the light in turn creating more bud sights exposed to the light. Takes time and patience but can be rewarding. You can veg a plant for up to 6 months or more doing this method making a monster of a plant just need a big enough pot and right environment. Your talking silly amounts from just one plant.

Joe dirt I also had an upside down tomato planter that did really good as it happens goes to show they can grow even upside down.
I haven't the link but there is a type of hydro system that is revolving tube with plants inside with a light in the center. orchid plants roots grow up out of pots also.
