Passion Fruits and strawberries are almost done, I should have Mullberries very soon. Nothing of this tree Ive had it 3 years in a pot hasn't hardly changed but gives decent mullberries. Would be better in the ground.

Coriander is one of the best plants for bringing in the beneficial insects. I have 3 species of lady beetle and five species all up of beneficial insects attracted into my garden for the coriander flowers. Thes lady bird larvae will keep those aphids at bay.

Dill is another great insect attractor, being yellow it is very appealing to pollinators.

Oioi Trex, when you plant your spuds do you cut the tubers into smaller pieces or bury them whole. Just asking as Im used to growing them in sandy soil, but my soil here holds alot more moisture. Just got PVS on a couple of plant which led to PVY as well. Just thinking if id cut the tubers into smaller pieces might be a little more resistant. Although both these viruses are supposed to be spread by aphids and I do have aphids in my patch, not seen any near my potatoes. Wondering if the vector may have been in the soil and got in through a tuber that was planted.

I dont like cutting tubers reallly ,bruises the shit outta em , i always keep the golf ball sized ones for seeding , i place em.on heat mat at 21° for a few days or til i see the spuds growing out , then i transplant about 3" deep 12" apart ,rows spaced 24" roughly depending on variety , this years Chieftan red (mid season) batch grew 3' outward and 4' high ,massive potatoes . Got me 40 lbs outta 4 -14' rows ,two crops bumper style ,wich is very very good considering our shitty season we had .

Yeah cheers mate never been a huge fan of cutting them myself. Im growing this lot of Royal Blues in pots. Bit of a bugger about the virus but thats life I guess. Do you collect your own seed or do you buy certified. They say its a must to have it certified but I have grown from my own in the past with no dramas.
