Default White Widow 12/12 from seed - UFO & CFL Grow Journal

    Hello guys.

This is my 2nd grow (after a first failed one - was not my fault - it was a shitty seed from Dutch Passion - the plant came out super nice but there was no potency at all), and i thought I should make a journal for this one.

I am a micro grower, and I don't need such big yields, that's why I am trying the 12/12 method.

    Setup:

    Box - DIY Grow Box from some speakers box - 40cm x 50cm x 105cm
    Lights - 1 UFO Full Spectrum 138W (50W real power consumption) + 2 CFL 45W each
Ventilation - 2 PC Fans (1 Intake - 1 Outtake), 1 Passive Intake, planing to add a 3rd PC fan for air ventilation inside the box when plants grow bigger.
Soil - COMPO SANA Universal Potting Soil
Fertilizers - Bio Grow and Bio Bloom
    Temperatures - 22 - 24 C during day, and 18 - 20 C during night. Humidity is about 50-60% in the daytime and 60-70% night time.
    Pots - 2 x 4.5L
    Reflective material - White paint
Seeds - 2 x White Widow Fem from Nirvana Seeds

Seeds arrived monday, were put for germination monday night using water cup, combined with paper towel method. They germinated wednesday, and were placed directly into 4.5L Soil. One has shown his face yesterday (friday) and one today.

Here are some pics, wish me luck with this one, and also maybe you have some suggestions for me. I'll keep posting updates for you guys.

    Cheers

    Yup that is .

What I wanted to mean, it was that he buds looked nice and fat, but there were barely any trichomes on them, looked and smelled like grass, and no sticky icky. Thanks for the nice words

    Day 3

Watered 15 ml/day so far, but I guess since today I will go 30 ml/day for a couple of days.
Got them closer to the CFL (aprox. 8cm) to avoid stretching.
    Here they are:

    Day 4

Move them even closer to the CFL, and watered them with 60 ml water today, and 45 ml yesterday, each plant.
Here they are in this order: Number one, Number two, and both.

Decided to change the light schedule today to 20/4 as I have about 1 meter height, and it would be a shame not to vegetate this beauties for at least 2 weeks.

Then I will flip to 12/12. Cheers

Too much watering isn't good . Water the soil good , so a liter or two water runs out the bottom then leave it until the container gets light again . As the plant needs water its roots will spread out looking for it . Its a good idea to have a fan blowing on your plants now , as it strengthens the stems and keeps fresh air around the plant On your first grow how did you decide the grow was over , did you count the days or what ?

Thanks for the tip. Actually that's exactly what I was gonna do since today. Water all the soil and let the plant do their job for a couple of days. About the first plant, yes I counted the days and it was a week past it's maximum flowering days. Still no thricomes or sticky icky

Also I'm planning adding a 100W HPS and 2 Warm 45W CFL's, along with my 138W UFO for when I switch back to 12/12. Do you think that would be ok, or it's just to much light?

The total lumens would be somewhere around 17000 if I do that.

    Thanks.
