So in a 1.2m square tent maybe the 80cm para would be better to help with heat build up and no need for trimming?

Youll not need to do any trimming in a 1.2 hops, I use a 100cm as is in a 1.2 but with negative pressure the sides do pull up to it. Some bugee cord soon sorts the problem. But to answer your question an 80cm would give you more room for air movement and make it a little easier when working in the tent. If Id known this before I would have gone for the 80 the first time around

i don't know why they have to make parabolic so bloody big... i'm sure you could get the same light spread with a much smaller parabolic designed correctly!

Must say I was sceptical about changing to parabolic reflectors, as you may recall Blue.

Anyhow the only way to really know if something works is to give it a try. Bought this one a few months back and gave it a go with my last grow before summer kicked in.

Not 100% sure it qualifies as a parabolic, I will leave that up to you guys to decide. What I can say is that my temps were lower and I was obliged to toss one of the 4 plants out of the tent 120 x 120 due to severe overcrowding.

Parabolic reflectors get my vote now.
