    Default Putting your lights too close to your plant

    Okay so this is month 1.
    Accidentally burnt a couple leaves
    It's this common at all

    It happens if you don't adjust the light accordingly. You should be fine if it's just a few leaves. For future reference place you hand between the plant tops and the bulb if it's hot on the back of your hand the same applies to the plants so adjust to suit

    And something else you should keep in mind is that it depends what light are you using.
    Mine was very close to the canopy and I had no heat stress but Light Bleaching. So if you are using and HPS bare that in mind.

    Standard daily back of the hand test here mate takes 2 seconds, but lesson learnt hey

    Good advice from both, I use the 'Back of Hand' test as well placed level with yr plant canopy, if it's a bit too warm for your hand it's likely too warm for plants as well, you'll also see how intense the glare of the light on your hand is, and you'll clock how rapidly it can shift just by moving the light slightly

    Frazzling a few leaves shouldn't matter in the long term, just take it as a warning and avoid it in future

    Yip I did that before, had my lights too close when the plants were too small. Takes a while for them to get used to a very strong light so take it slow and gentle when you start up the big dog light like HP.
