wahhheeey! lol glad 2 ere it sorted mate least there was no frazzeling aye!

i found this online, might be of use, and im sure that there cheap as chips, i wont post the link coz dont wanna get banned but here the info.

"If you want to join two or more wires to make an electrical connection, a wire nut is a great solution. You don't need solder or any special crimping tool.
A wire nut is composed of a spring-steel spiral forming a cone. The cone is securely enclosed in a plastic (insulator) housing. The large end of the cone is open and is sized to receive the wires to be joined." just give google a quick search for a wire nut.. sortttted

thats just an example, but if u do go ahead and get some of them wire nuts, make sure u get quite small ones, as if there to big, they dont grip the wire and will be pointless lol.. but theres lots of stuff for cheap to connect wires.

What do you mean, get banned for posting a link? As long as it's no spam link and 100% germane to the topic why would you be banned?

Just for a future reference - PC Fans are DC and thus it doesn't matter which way you hook it up as long as you only use red and black (ignore the third signal lead on some of the others, just using the red and black will make it rev at nominal speeds.) you'll either make it run forwards or backwards, that's all.

And you can run them as low as 9v and as high as 15v.

can someone who understands electrics help me out with this question, why does this system have to be plugged str8 into the wall and cannot be plugged into an extention cable which is plugged into the wall??? because i cant plug it straight into the wall because of the location of my box isnt near a wall socket...

Im guessing he says directly to a wall socket for testing purposes so you can easily switch off if theres a problem. After its all safe u can use an extension which im going to have to use later when i know its safe (protect the exposed ends as atm its just got cellotape round em).
