This fan just seems like a piece of shit like. Boxed it in proper as well. Goin to have to get a new fan one what runs quieter had it turned down to almost off before it was quiet enough. It seemed quieter when I had old ducting connected.

I can imagine mate, I don't think ppl really rate black orchid do they? Are they more of a budget extraction fan?

Thanks man, wary of buying a new one, I wouldn't say I need one but I've upgraded everything else and it's always gonna be peace of mind knowing I have a back up. If my extractor went I'd be fucked. I'd stand half a chance if the local grow shop was open, but if it was after 6 I'd be screwed.

The trouble with grow shop fans is they are just a generic fan relabelled as a grow fan and extra pennies added to them because they know you will pay for the privilege

I’ll update what I said. When I was playing about with it I held the end of ducting to my face/ear and I was amazed at how the wind hitting my face made no sound at all. Was just my fan makin any noise. So I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Don’t buy cheap fans.
