My new toy,done some research and found the Prussian military used these in the 1700's,then in the 1800's some were converted to percussion before being sold to the Americans for the civil war,from what I could find this was the short version used by specialized units/hussars to support cavalry,after the civil war some full length versions were traded to natives to hunt buffalo and bison with.
This is .71 caliber lol the largest percussion firearm that I have used is .36 caliber and with that short barrel this thing is staying on the wall,I like my shoulders not to be dislocated haha.
The sword is higher end reproduction cavalry sabre.
