Hi everyone,
I'm cloning & vegging in a PC Case (not one of the larger Server cases, a regular ATX computer case) with an 85watt 65k CFL running at 18/6. During the 6 'off hours' in the Winter, the case drops to ~15°C... I've read this as the boundary for safe low temps... but would love to learn more.
During flower, however, I'm reading that the lower boundary is closer to 20°C, which has me thinking about efficient ways to keep a PC case (or other similar sized grow chamber) warm.
One of my potential solutions would be to either lay out a seedling mat
Another option would be a small reptile heat rock put on a standard timer, or one of the above temperature controllers.
Would love to hear your thoughts on how to resolve this before I go digging into my wallet. Anyone else had to deal with harsh winters? How did you solve it? (Bonus points if it would work in a micro environment)
