Another double post, but before I didn't consider that OP may have been smoking not fully matured buds, which would have probably been low in CBD and high in psychoactive stimulant, which is possible to actually CAUSE a panic attack - but then that experience would have been fault of whoever harvested the crop when it wasn't ready.

It's still a decent discussion. I would say I'd hope no-one would joke about something so serious but then, do you think people would do that?
JUST GO ON THE INTERNET AND TELL LIES? D:

Just adding my 2p worth. I was a hard core every day smoker of resin back in the 90's and pretty reliant on it.

Started suffering with depression and one very STUPID weekend took mushrooms with some friends and had the mother of bad trips!

Really knocked me for 6 and since then am physiologically afraid of all drugs, and I mean ALL drugs. Even 30mg cocodamols can set off my nerves, can't even drink cola or coffee as caffine has a negative effect on me too.

Would LOVE to get back into it though as I'm a very spiritual and creative person and miss that side of the stone. Plus I had cervical cancer last year and currently waiting to see a neurologist as my GP thinks I have multiple sclerosis and I know CBD is a great help for it.

Gonna start off super super slowly. I puff then out, and see how I go.

Will probably just talk myself into a whitey but gonna give it a try.

If all else fails it's back to the red wine and rum!

Choose the right strain carefully, avoid street weed and you can get past this bab. I and MANY others have!

Thanks grub, I'm a mean baker too so once I get used to the effects again I'll experiment with some bed time treats to go with my cocoa 😁

The fact you enjoy a bit of red wine will help. Alcohol counter-effects the head-rush we can get when we have a strong smoke. It's this head-rush that can send us into panic mode... before we know it our heads have gone into overdrive and we think we're dying lol.
Medium strength weed (NOT sativa) and a glass or two of your favourite red and you'll be wayyyy too chilled to panic about anything.
