Install windows on your first laptop. Youll want x86 since its most likely 32bit. Then when your in windows go to internet if possible and download the online version of driverpack solution. Make sure you untick the shit that it wants to go with it. go to something like custom instillation. Then dps should install all your drivers.

What i would do then is pull the hdd out the laptop youve just done and test the second one since its the same laptop to see if it boots. If your still after that inbox me.

    Good luck

Send some pictures of your bios. As M_C mentioned, that would appear to not have a HDD. The bios picture will show if you have a drive and it's just not initialised.

Also no need to change bios to cd drive. The only reason to change it is to USB so it doesn't look to cd drive and that's only if you are using USB. Change it back to HDD otherwise you'll have trouble if you try to start with a disk on the drive.

Hard drives are cheap, but you might be as well search gumtree for a cheap old computer with a HDD that works with windows on it...

Or you could use a bootable usb or sd card. It wont be the fastest but if you already have it laying around. Saves money.

Could be the cpu overheating. Try de dusting it. If that doesnt work the Other option is to install new thermal paste. You can probs get a teardown guide on ifixit. They come in handy so your not ripping any ribbon cabling.
