They can be a little off as many factors can affect how much is required but it's a good rough guide to follow till one of the guru's sets you straight and tells you to learn to read the plant

This threads pretty specific to coco.

Doesn't soil usually come packed with enough nutes for the 1st month or so?

What Silk said ^^^ And when you are ready for nutes, you should only start with 1/4 or recommend dose. Less is more in soil.

I've always thought the salts in canna products are no good for soil, you might be best off growing in coco if you've invested in the canna coco nutrients.
How old are your plants? If they're established then might be worth going onto eBay and getting a small around of flowering nutes for soil just to see you through. Then next batch stick with growing in coco.

If in soil, just feed water till they start to pale or show a deficiency. Then maybe one of the soil grower can help get you to the end.

Theres plenty of soil dosage charts out there but we need to establish which canna nutrients your using to ensure you have the correct nutrients? Canna coco, canna bio, canna hydro, canna aqua, canna terra?

    Talking

If you going to grow in soil, Tiger Bloom would be a good one for soil. It is all I use, not the biggest buds, but some pretty good size one's.
