Thread: Hard water ?

    Some of the three part mix nutes have one part that is for hard or soft water, but most nutes it doesn't make a difference. If it helps any, I'd rather have hard water than soft water, the micro nutrients in hard water help immensely!

    With a water softener 1200$ installed give or take .

    You can soften hard water by adding washing soda (sodium carbonate) but I couldn't tell you if it's safe to use on plants as I've never tried it.

    I Wouldn't recommend using it on your plantsa. They would prefer the hard water only. Lol

    I wouldn't either. Maybe on the wife's plants, but not my weed.

    mine is 7.8 from tap and 6.8 r.o during summer , in winter they balance out to 6.5 ,give or take

    The cities purposely keep it on alkaline side so acidity dont corrode the pipes ,
