They don't need your consent to search you or your property in certain circumstances.

Thats when they need a)probable cause of a crime (visual evidence thst a crime has been commited in form of physical evidence, blood stain ,stolen property etc) or
b)a warrant to search and seize ,signed by a judge ,wich need the probable cause in the first place .

The bottom line is in the UK - if you get pulled & your car smells = drug swab

Involved in an accident = breathaliser & swab as standard.

I never drive stoned anymore. At worst i drive the morning after the night before, which puts 2 brushes of the teeth, a nights sleep, plenty of coffee & breakfast into the mix before I am behind the wheel again - 100% sober. It's all about the "unabsorbed" THC according to the law.... Is all that enough to pass a swab if i then had a crash on the way to work? Who knows?

Sure swabs are for unabsorbed THC but the law is about the absorbed THC blood level. Any regular toker will have a base level that exceeds the limit, full stop, for a long time after abstinence.

True. I forgot to add that if you test positive at the roadside, then you also have to take a blood test. I likely have a bit of blood in my THC stream somewhere...I'd be fucked for sure

If you think you have it in your system and have to drive then...
Clean your teeth and tongue before you go.
Spray some aftershave or perfume on you as well as your clothes.
Don't drive like a twat.
Don't use your mobile.
Don't drive too close to the person in front.
Make sure you signal at every turn.
Don't jump red lights.
Don't have music blaring out - esp if it's Reggae.
Keep calm.

Basically, don't give them an excuse for stopping you.

Damn must be rough over there.. my car can smell like 10 doobies just got burned in it but if they don't find anything and you don't admit to smoking, then they can't do shit. They will search over smell here but they must find paraphernalia or actual herb.

I went to one of the local hydro shops and was passed a spliff made with shatter. It was the first time I had it. On the way back the car was full of empty boxes that had Lumii Digita 600w on the side, as well as boxes stating they were hydro grow nutes, and I had "Shouldn't Do That" by Hawkwind playing.

I'm on the duel carriage way, and joined a queue because they were doing traffic works. I was in the right hand lane, and I noticed a police car in the left hand lane, about 3 or 4 cars ahead of me. My sphincter tightened so much that you could crack Brazil nuts.

My lane was moving slightly faster than his. Off went the music, and tried to look as calm as possible. I took the next turning on the right, double-backed to took another route home.
