Default combining LED with CFL for flowering?

I've never used cfl's but I can see from multiple reviews that the LED's I have (2 x viparspectra 300w) are lacking in red light spectrum so are apparently not great for flowering.

If I am to add cfl's to the set up, what do I need and how should they be set-up, distance from plant during flowering stage etc? if there's a sticky with a guide to this maybe?

    thanks guys

when you say lacking do you mean not powerful enough or not enough red light there to begin with? i have 2 x 6oow virpaspectra and they seem abit too powerful at times for the room im in( veg stage), maybe buy a 600w version and see how you get on?

1 600w viparspectra probs aint even better than one 250hps imo, and definitely not better than 400w hps

I think you can buy a hps instead of cfl

I use a viparspectra 300w. What i would like to know is, what the distance should be between the grow light and the plant during the different life stages. anyone?
a referal to a reliable source would be much appreciated.

About 18 inches. I have 2x 300w viparspectras side by side and they seem to be doing well at that height.

And this confirms it. Young plants you could start higher and slowly lower it

I use Viparspectra led on a light mover to supplement HID. Seem to work well.
