Looking for help regarding switching seedling from t5 to mh :)

Hi guys second post here, Wooo!!

Looking for a little help regarding light changes and whens the best time?
Currently have 8 babies just rooted through there root riots and been transplanted into larger sized pots, had them under 120watts of t5 since they sprouted, looking to get them under my 400watt mh veg light as soon as possible but im not entirely sure about when is the best time to change bulbs over? I transplanted them tonight there in a 40/60 coco pellet mix, are they still too young for the more intense light? If not what is an optimum height to start the light at? Any input would be a grear help guys thanks.

Just do it when is convenient to yourself mate

Height? I couldn't say as I do not own a 400w MH bulb

You can switch to MH whenever you like. My seedlings get 400W from the start with no issues

I have my seedlings under a 400 watt as we speak. Currently the tops of the plants are about 18 inches could be closer, but I am trying to maximize the coverage.

Wow i posted that question not 2 minutes ago! You guys are amazing

i love this place! Thanks so much for swift replys guys! Thats great i was slightly worried i would shock or burn them or something, do you guys have any idea how much hear comes from one of them compared to t5? Its just heat is our friend where i am and im currently running an oil heater just to keep things in the 20-25 celcius ball park so any added heat from the mh will help indeed!

I know a MH will put off a shit ton more heat then a T5!!!!! Ditch the T5 give her what she wants!

One more quick question, is there any point running my t5 bulbs along with the 400mh or is it just a waste of electricity??
