    Default drying too fast ?

hi growers... i popped 2 seeds to get started in my home made grow box, im using a 50 / 50 mix of compost and coco in those little biodegradable pots... they look like cardboard and will break apart when planted ... i pot loads of holes in the pots with a pencil to help the roots get out there and im only using a 150w led set at 14 inches above the pots .... 2 days ago i put the sprouted seeds in the pots with the 50 / 50 mix and gave them a good watering ....
yesterday morning the compost was dry ... very dry so i soaked it till i had run off ... checked them again this morning..... and the compost mix was dry again ... and i mean dust dry ????
how the hell is it getting so dry so fast? its not hot in the box at all ... and would the seeds i put in there been damaged by getting so dry so fast ?
    thanks folks

thats unusual those little pots usually hang on to too much moisture.

50/50 means only 1/2 the medium can actually hold water,
a 1lt pot of soil will only last me 2 days b4 needing watered again in a 25c gRoom

if that was a 50-50 mix id be watering them twice a day and that's using only a T5,

He's got coco and compost mix shouldn't they both retain water?
