thats just a single bulb unit, with builtin ballast in a 70x70x160 tent.

personally my choice would be a twin bulb one with a switch for one or both on.

these leds i notice are getting more spacy looking but its often the same tech under the bonnet as any other cree led unit, its all still a marketing excercise more than them creating "superled" panels imo.
my 200rw led does a good enough job,its main limiting factor is light spread, which renders it unusable for more than one-two plants, one cmh315 lights up my entire tent with ease, would cover 3-4 plants i reckon, all that light from just 315w,@£200-250.is pretty good imo..
Very interesting, I'll have to do some research on those. You are right though probably all the same stuff inside.🤔

Seems to be delivering pretty well. Good warranty and customer service I hear too

If you've the budget why not check out the horticultural lighting hlg550. Loads of commercial grows going to these now.

    Hello Ironman!

I've been looking at various LED rigs for a while now and someone just mentioned you have been doing some testing which I have checked out on your other threads. I just wanted to ask if the Migro seems to be the current leader?

I really like what Ive seen so far and am considering the 4 light set up to replace my 600w HPS. Just wondering if you had any thoughts / recommendations / considerations / alternatives on this etc as its rare to find someone who's done independent testing

    Hi mate,

Firstly, I must say that during my testing I didn't back myself up with good genetics lol. I ended with autos that didnt auto and had to 12/12 the plants.

I have nothing bad to say about the migro, fantastic light, silent and runs pretty cool too. The driver allows you to dim the cob down so it's ideal to use from start to finish.

I did find that Shane's reccomendation to hang the light at 6 inches above the canopy scared me and I never really took it closer than 10 inches.

I would have no problem reccomending migro as a product and their customer service and after care is second to none.

The only other lighting I would look into if I were you would be Invisible suns ISH-250kit. I'm using 2 of their kits at the moment and the name Invisible sun is not an exaggeration. These things are the most cost effective boards on the market and will compete with a HLG equivilant easily.

In my 1.2 x 1.2 in using 2 kits, I have a third kit I may add for my next run. The costing of 3 x ISH-250 kits is similar to the migro 400 as well.

The grow I completed with the migro 100 was 1 plant and I think it gave me just over 1 gram per watt. I reckon if I had a decent auto with strong genetics I could hit 2grams per watt in coco and even more with a photo.

Feel free to ask away mate, I'll help you to the best of my knowledge and Gardro can fill in the gaps. Gardro is our Led specialist. 😁

Thanks for the reply Ironman, super helpful!

I see several forum members have bought the Invisible sun lights so looking forward to seeing the results - you don't have a grow diary happening with these do you by chance?

Seems like you have lent to Invisible Sun, do these seem like the LEDs for you then?

If I had to choose between the migro 400 and 3 x ISH-250w kits, it would have to be a flip of a coin.

My head is saying migro, my heart is saying Invisible Sun lol.

My heads telling me the migro 400 just shades it on the power consumption. I love the looks of the boards though pmsl😂

Sorry mate, not much help on that bit lol

Hahaa that helps plenty lol, seems like there isn't really a wrong choice between the 2, no bad decision to be made etc

If it were me, id replace the hps with 2 invisible sun 250, or 265 option if you have a bit more budget.

Migro lights are more premium and engineered much further, but you pay for that premium.

You have a lot more watts, at more light per unit watt with the invisible sun option so will actually outyield the hps. The migro would more or less match the hps yield.

I have both a migro 100 & an invisible sun board. If the budget allowed it Id probably go for the 400 but we are talking a good few notes in the difference. Pros and cons to both. I really love how the migros are IP67, ive even seen them running in a bucket of water lol Invisible Sun are top notch as well if you dont mind a bit of DIY (which is very easy). They give a better overall coverage, well in my space anyway.

Might have to flip a coin mate
