Default Help! Seedling problem - Leaves curling downwards

I'm really confused at the moment.

My seedlings started off great when germinated and started off in 1 inch RW cubes.

Since transplanting to a larger 3 inch rockwool cube I've had problems with the leaves curling downwards. I thought at first that perhaps this was due to overwatering so I'm letting the cubes dry out for a few days and they still look the same. I did presoak the rockwool and stabalizhed the PH to 5.5.

The tips also look slightly burnt but new leaf growth is still ok although not as fast as I was hoping for.

Temperatures are fluctuating between 76 and 85 F and humidity is about 30 - 40 %. The PH of the water I was feeding has been between 5.4 - 5.7 and I've now increased this slightly to 6 - 6.1 based on the information that I found. The PPM of the feed was a bit high when I transplanted the seedlings into the larger cubes at 550 - 600 but I'm using tap water and quarter strength nutrient solution.

Also it's been 5 days and I havn't seen any roots grow out of the cubes yet. Is this normal?

Wsg - No I don't sorry. Only a couple of roots including the tap root were showing out the bottom of the 1" cubes but I transplanted them as I didn't want these to hit the air and die and therefore stunt growth.

I'm hoping for a mass of roots to develop in these 3 inch cubes before I place them into a 4 pot Wilma top feed system.

I just get can't figure out why the leaves are so droopy. I'm on day 13 from germination.

    The strain is Big Bud

I'm no expert, but I am an old guy. Your plants are stretching, making them weaker,
Day 11 and you are adding nutes, young plants will live off water just fine, I would wait until the seedlings were established in the new cube prior to adding nutes, foliage spraying is a great way to feed at this young stage. I would flush till my run off was testing low, like 200 or below and hope for the best. Overwatering is hard to do in rock wool due to its natural ability to retain water and oxygen, I have used in in many a flood and drain table over the years. .

Picture of root mass(yes in dirt) but about the same size as a rock wool plug. I was kinda disappointed, I expected better, problem should of waited another day myself.

Thanks for the tip WSG. I was thinking of flushing them with plain PH water too. I can't figure out the symptons of the leaf curl tho. It looks like an over-watering problem but the cubes are just slightly moistened.

They were spot on just 3 days ago before my last watering and then this happened. It must've been the nutes as the ppm was 550 last I checked - which I know is too high

Or could it even be transplant shock? As this has only happened since transplanting into the 3inch blocks.

And if so, will the plants snap out of it?
