Right I've decided to go with a Hydrolab 1.2 tent. I wanted 5o know if it's worth getting the extra tall one which I think is about 2.3 metres over the regular 2m tall one.

Is it worth having the extra height or is this just for 1000w lights etc? My ceiling is 243cm high either will fit.

If you have the ceiling height go taller every time.

Everyone seems to have good experience with hydrolab but my 2.4 tent came first with the roof vents in the floor so was unusable they sent me a replacement tent and from day one I spend my time making out the star constellations from the amount of pin hole light leaks. My secret jardin dr120 has been going strong for 2 years now no probs at all even when packed down and re built.
    They all grow weed tho

I don't think many tents are 100% light proof. The room my tents are in is 100 % black dark. When I Go into the room when tent lights are on I can see slight pin hole light coming through the fabric and light coming through the zips. Don't think it would make that much difference or cause plants to hermie.

Put a thread on here and ask if you need 100% blackout and 99% of reply posts will say YES you need blackout. I tend to disagree, as long as it is 90% or so dark IMHO you will be fine.
