    Default Height issue

Hello, so I am feeling very stupid right now. Hoping someone can tell me if I should ditch my crop and start over or not.

Previously, I had a problem trying to scrog (a technique I've discovered I'm no good at) and after a couple of weeks in 12/12 I wasn't happy with the scrog so put the plants back into veg. 2 days later I saw first sign of flower so put it back to 12/12 again. However, I made a mistake here..

6-7 weeks of 12/12, and 4 weeks of true flower (if memory is accurate) and plants are still growing taller, with only small buds. I discover the timer has 15 minutes of light in the middle of the dark period and it has been like that for 4 weeks.

They are now as tall as the light, and some are outside and above the parabolic shade, which is set as high as the tent will allow. Heat is an issue as there is no airflow under the bulb and lots of the taller larger fans are showing heat stress

I was thinking... this stretching is lasting a long time, I'm sure they should have stopped getting taller by now...

And then I thought.. I wont be growing sativas again..

Pics yes well I suppose but that's effort man I think I will just ditch them cause the grow room is pretty unmanageable right now, I need an extra meter of horizontal and vertical space for these plants now.

I wondered about using the offcuts of the scrog to hold the plants out from the middle of the room so they aren't directly under the bulb and air can get through.

    Or take cuttings

Or chop the height off them and reveg them for a few weeks

    Or crack new seeds

It's a damn shame, an I hate to say it, because my mission is to save every crop lol, but I'd bin these mate.

You need a full, undisturbed, 12 hours of darkness for flower, with no light leaks at all. Fucking with the photo period will confuse the plants, and they're liable to go hermie. heat stress, and unstable light cycle is the most common cause of accidental hermy.

You don really want that, and taking cuttings will be no good, as if they hae hermied, the cuttings will be hermied too.

Take this crop as a lesson learned...... Shall I assume this was your first time?

Second grow first one had a few bumps on the way but got a good harvest.

    This one is... deformed.

Now can someone tell me how to get rid of 4 large illegal plants. They're not gonna fit in my wheely bin!

Always difficult to do lol. Another reason why scrogging is the best way to go, less wastage at the end.
