Base EC is the EC measurement that you start with (IE out of the tap)
It's Not What You Know, It's What You Can Prove

What about soft water? If my ec was below 0.4 as canna suggests should I be using some calmag agent to bring it to 0.4?

My base EC is 0.5 so I have no issues.... I suppose it would really depend on how low your EC actually is....

no you dont need to. i only really grow in coco tbh buddy. my background is 0.1/0.2. and i use my calmag agent as foliar spray every 10days ish instead of adding it to the feed, although there would be no harm in adding 1ml-Litre in the feed once a week.

regarding coco have read up in here https://www.thctalk.com/cannabis-foru...-And-Nutrients

I suppose its a better mix as it aerates the medium more in my judgement and it is suited to Wilma as I could feed more frequent and as I will have an air pump in red I'm supposing this would increase yield?

just robbin you of root space imo. coco has plenty aeration with out the pebbles, you can still do the frequent feeds, seen plenty the lads on here just use coco in the wilma. you could lash in little perlite if helps ya sleep like lol

few chaps have modified there so the roots go in to the res also.would have to have look around

see what the wilma folks says though tbh. i know redsiel uses one

You’ll need the black drippers if your doing coco and go 100% coco like joker said. Those clay pebbles are just getting in the way.
I’m a Wilma user so any questions then fire away dude.
