just wondering if anybody else here has had problems with damping off when using root riots for seeds, ive used them for clones(amazing) used them for seeds (not so pretty).
would I better off using rockwool or jiffys instead?

maybe it's just me doing something wrong, I dunno!!

I've used root riots and rockwool with no issue for seeds and cuttings...could it be your environment? Hard to say without more info?

temps and humidity are spot on, I must have done something wrong at some point, like a dodgy builder I was tryin to blame my tools LOL
I usually dunk the cubes in water shake off the excess pop in a seed and leave on the window sill, never had any issues

I’ve never had a problem with them myself but I’ve lost two lately with stem rot in root riots I think it was my own fault for keeping them to wet though.

I figured it out!!
homemade block covers caused a moisture build up around the stem resulting in damping off.
DOH!
root riot not to blame. another lesson learned the hard way
