Lightbulb Seedsman Indoor Contest: California Orange Feminised

    Seedsman Indoor Contest:
    California Orange Feminised.

Luckily for me, I have managed to get involved in the " Seedsman Forums Grow Contest 2018".
Participants have been asked to choose three strains from the "Seedsman" catalogue, and grow them out, with a full, extensive diary on each strain.

The three Strains I have chosen (of which I will germinate one seed each) are:

    1: White Widow Fem: https://www.seedsman.com/en/white-widow-feminised-seeds
    2: Jack Hererer Fem:
    https://www.seedsman.com/en/jack-herrer-feminised
    3: California Orange Fem:
    https://www.seedsman.com/en/california-orange-feminised-seeds

The diaries will be updated at least twice a week, with pictures, and information on feeding schedule, and growth progression. I look for these diaries to be a grow guide on each strain, and a step by step guide, to get you the same results as me, come harvest!

All grows will be in the following setup:

    Germination
    8w heated propagator for germination

    Early Veg
    60cmx60cmx120cm Grow Tent
    4' Extraction
    Lumii EnviroGro T5 2' 2-Way Light
    Small oscillating fan

    Veg/ Flower
    1.2mx1.2mx2m Tent.
5' extraction and filter, vented out side.
4' intake, passive/ active, depending on temperatures.
Dyson AM02 Tower fan for air circulation
1m Parabolic, silver reflector, with 400w MH for Veg, and 600w HPS for flowering.
    Dimmable Digital Ballast ( 250w, 400w, 600w, 660w)

    Medium:

Plants will also be grown in Canna coco, with 10% perlite, in the following pots:

    For germination: 250ml plastic pot

For early veg: 3l Fabric pots.
Late veg and flower 12l Airpots.

    Food:

    Great white root enhancer

    Advanced nutrients:
    Sensi Grow A & B
    Sensi Bloom A & B
    Big Bud
    Over drive

    With some Budda Tree:
    Solar Green Power
    Flower Burst.

    Vitalinks
Cal/mag if need for cal/mag supplements.

And of course, a little bit of Black strap molasses a couple of times a week.

I also have a "BlueLab Ph Pen", and a "Hanna Gro-Line EC/TDS Tester". Both just a couple of months old, and clean and calibrated.
Most of all they have a loving parent, they will flourish and grow. There will probably be upgrades to the set up as we go, depending on the plants needs.
The plan is to germinate, and then veg for around four weeks, ( 2 weeks under 24 hours of 55w T5, then 2 weeks under 400W MH on 18/6).

During the veg, I will be topping the plant once at the 4th node, and manipulating the plant with some Low Stress Training ( LST).

When I "Flip" to 12/12 to induce flowering, I will go up to 600W MH, over the stretch period, and then onto 600W HPS for the rest of flower.
I will flush for around 14 days, and for the final week of the grow, I will go back to 400W MH, to reduce the temperatures, and bring out some of the natural colours of the strain.
    So, here we go:

"California Orange is an old-school indica/sativa hybrid cannabis strain that dates back to the early 1980s if not before! A terrific resin producer, California Orange produces good to very good yields in just 9 weeks flowering indoors. Its dense buds have a really strong orange/citrus flavour and deliver a very potent, uplifting, happy high but one which may induce the old "cotton mouth" feeling so it is advisable to keep a drink handy. Heavier doses can lead to a more couch-lock indica-type stoned effect. Medically it can be used to help combat stress and depression."

    Characteristics

    BREEDER Seedsman
    GENETICS Californian Orange
    VARIETY Indica / Sativa
    THC CONTENT High
    YIELD 350-450 gr/m2
    FLOWERING TIME 9 weeks

    Quick question,

What is the difference between sensi grow & bloom compared with connoisseur or canna? I always get confused with base nutrients
