Well after a couple of sketchy first grows in soil, I’m keen to move to the world of hydroponics and coco. I really like the idea of a quick responding medium and being able to keep things dialled in (fingers crossed baby)
Grow proposal joker, please let me have your feedback and approvals
The room
A timber framed and walled box insulated with foil bubble sheeting. A little over 1 x 1 m floor space and just over 1.5m tall. The room is built inside an outside garage. Ideal for 4 plants but I usually do 3
Environment
I have a 4 inch ruck fan (220 m3/hr) attached to an 8 inch rhino pro. The extract is ducted outside the garage itself.
Intake is passive through a 4 inch hole. Presently it pulls ambient air in from the garage. If it gets really hot in the garage, I can pull intake air from outside the garage.
DIY fan controller
4 120mm fans on each of the internal walls to circulate air
AMCOR 12 litre per day dehumidifier
Latest “heatwave” had temps maxing just over 30 so no real issues with LED
Lighting
Seedling: Mars Hydro PAR 38 (pulls 16 real watts)
Veg: 3x Mars Hydro reflector 48s (each pull 100w so 300w total from wall ) 18-24 inches height
Flower: above plus 2 Mars Hydro 300s (each pull around 125W so total will be 550w from plug) 12-18 inches height
All on bungee ratchets

These are sativa hybrids compared to the usual indica doms im used to. Seller says 6-7 weeks flower and max growth heights of 1.4m
With that in mind I will be throwing up a scrog net I think
With any luck I can get the buggers germing this weekend.
