Default Medicinal Grow mentored by Bethmeg

Evening all, As I found out recently that my Dad has Pancreatic Cancer and the fact that Cannabis seems to have some amazing medically researched properties, I thought I'd give growing some medicine for him a go. Unfortunate that this behaviour is illegal in UK but I reckon helping my Dad out is worth the risk.

Anyway, my 9 sq ft by 7ft high grow tent is set up with a basic 600w Omega SH with carbon filter vented to outside. I have had 9 seeds in water all day, all but one sank with 3 showing shoots already, I have just wrapped them in wet kitchen roll, stuck them in sandwich bags and left them in a warm place, hopefully they will all have sprung to life in the morning.Click image for larger version.

    Evening all,

Ok guys, Day 2 of germination and Ive had the seeds in damp paper towels and wrapped in sandwich bags since yesterday evening, I decided to take them out of the bags earlier to get some air to the emerging taproots whilst they are still in the propagator above the Aga. Im still a bit unsure of the way to go for potting them, Ill either go with seed plugs or straight into coco, I plan to grow them to maturity in the coco with canna nutes. Please feel free to point out any noob mistakes I may or may be about to make guys!

Hey All, Day 3 and I took a quick peek at my seeds before work, they've stretched a bit overnight!

This section is only for grows with an agreed mentor.

I see you have your diary elsewhere so I shall lock this thread....

And its Day 4 of my Grow,

I looked in on them before work thus morning and my damp paper towel wrapped seeds had sprouted a root between 10 and 15mm, I decided to go for potting them in John Innes seed sowing compost with a small amount of Perlite mixed in.

Once the seeds were in and labelled I watered them lightly with boiled, cooled water as I reckon this will have taken the Chlorine out.

They are now in a water sprayed (to create humidity) propagator in a warm place above the Aga, temp is about 24*C. Ive placed a dark tea towel over them to keep the light out.

Will hopefully see some nice green coty's soon! Click image for larger version.

First off can I say I'm so sorry to hear of your dads illness.

This makes me even more determined to help you get some lovely bud for him.

It takes a lot of bud to make a little medicine so I dont think we will be on to a cure all here.
Will you be making oils, edibles or is this just for the lovely herb??
