    Default Ecotechnics controller issue

Hi Ive got a ecotechnics controller and today i went into my groom and i could smell a burning smell, like an electrical burning smell. I checked all my equip and it seems like the smell is coming from the controller, specifically the black square transformer inside.

Has anyone had this before or heard of this or anything similar? The black transformer is very hot also so im letting it have a cool down seen as though its lights off at the mo

It's rated for 70 degrees mate, does it feel hotter than that?

    It's only a tiny thing 2.6VA ( roughly 2.6W) so doesn't do much work

Could it be the smell of the old burnt fuse?
Now it's warming up inside the box the smell is getting more apparent?

Oh, my mistake. Do you know why the fuse blew? Was it old age or a power surge? Did anything trip out?

I just took the front off mine and that little black block is warmish. I have my eco out side my groom though.
