    Default RDWC Build Help

Its been a while and i am in the prosess of building my RDWC system for the veg tent. all was going well untill my pal cam round and highlighted the issue of roots getting tangled together and then not being able to get them out and into the flowering room. was wondering if anyone has had this problem or has and idea of how to get arround it. Theres 4 plants in the bucket its 1m x 0.5 and there staggerd so its something like this:

    O----O
    ---O----O

Any ideas would be great tried corex but its just flimsy.

    Peace

    I used to do this.

What I did was lift up the lid everyday and give them all a nice stroke through the roots, untangling any that had joined.
It worked for me,I didnt veg for a massive amount of time though.

If they do become tangled you would be able to cut them apart with scissors,as long as you are careful it wont do any harm.

I know a solution for keeping drains clear is to rotate the plant daily the same direction to keep the roots closer together, might work for you as well.

I am just in the stages of planning. I plan to use an 80L tote for 2 plants, I plan use a second for a single plant and added volume, I will have a 20L control bucket outside the tent with an auto top up line.
Totes are approximately .500 x 700 and will be configured for a corner.

Do you think I am crowding the 2 plants in an 80L.
I will be growing autos, which is a first for me, if they were photos I wouldn't try 2.
This configuration allows me to add An additional 2 totes in the future.

Sounds like a plan just give them a little turn each day. failing that ill have to cut them when they go into the other room. as for your designs it looks good dude, as far as the space goes just train them so they each have there own room. You got an air pump lined up when i started dwc the noice of the pump was so loud. Id recomend the hailea 9810 or 9820 for the out put its pretty quite. Any ways good luck

As Beth says done this many of times. Using a starter tub with eight plants in it . Just be as gentle as possible and all will be good 🇬🇧
