    Default Fan leaves gone

This is my ak47 supercbd now after 2.5 weeks in flower.
The second photo is the same plant after my other half cut the big fan leaves off thinking she was helping.
    Does it matter or not?

You have basically cut off a solar panel and a storage full of nutrients.

    Not good, no😞

You will notice the plant with fan leaves will fatten up more than the other and your yield will be smaller.

Understandably the ability to photosynthsise has dropped, but so would metabolism overall, right? Less mouths to feed, fewer bringing home the bacon.

So, would feeding a weak solution of molasses and/or slightly upping the nitrogen but overall lower the ppm be of use, as the plant (as well as everyone else) is recovering from the shock? I also guess that she might take longer to "ripen"?

This is the age old question isn't it? Remove leaves or not? More light to buds..less light for solar panel leaves. More energy to go to buds rather than leaves..but does that actually work? These questions have been argued since the dawn of time

This is just me thinking out loud...

Trees shed leaves in autumn. So they have an over abundance of leaves, stored carbohydrates etc. So, there must be some kind of a tipping-point, or critical mass (no pun intended), where "a few leaves" "won't matter".

I still think the BIG leaves that got taken off would piss off the plant a fair bit, but not entirely a total wipe-out.
