The only 2 of the 4 wires from PC fans deliver power. Just have a google. They are DC so polarity matters as it affects the rotational direction.

Average Joe fans are sleeve bearing and are fine if mounted vertically (PC) but destroy themselves if horizontal (grow light)

We can use 2 or 3 pin as we are not pulse width modulating. The 3rd wire ( yellow) can be cut off ( tacho signal ). Avoid 4 pin fan

Best fans in the world are Delta but can be noisey.

Double ball bearing or fluid. Not sleeve

Will see if I can have a look on eBay when get back, there's millions

End of the day you prize winning lighting needs quality fans

They are horizontal fans and like I said couldn’t care less about noise. They won’t be heard over the rest of my fans

I assume there is no rep who would see this and realise their behaviour is disguising? Plus, the fact it'll cost them business. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, very interesting read. When paying a premium price like that, good after care is an absolute must.

Just go to an electronic store, and buy a new male and female plug, and trade them out for what ever new fan you put in.

Youll find these at any regular computer hardware shop those are regular connectors that fit on a desktop pc motherboard try your luck at any computer hardware shop youll be able to buy them new or look for them on ebay, you could spray some wd40 if you can locate the bearings and insert the red tube init

    Thanks for checking in Val

I have ordered and received the connectors as per Gardros post but I haven’t gotten around to installing the fans yet. May give it a bash tomorrow hopefully all goes well because I haven’t wired anything more than a plug in my life
